Saying it Best When You Say Nothing at All: The Power of Listening/Presence
This presentation explores communication barriers, listening styles and ways of being present for others. Attendees will be encouraged to develop their own ways of listening more effectively in their daily lives.
During this program Mary will discuss:
- Communication challenges
- Listening styles/modes
- "Presence" - what it is and how we can develop it within ourselves
- Skills to improve communication with patients, clients and co-workers
Join us and discover tools designed to improve our listening skills and help us become better communicators, both professionally and at home.
Program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing at 244 CMR 5.00 for 1 contact hour.

About Mary Crowe and Care Dimensions
Mary Crowe, LICSW, ACHP-SW is the Education Specialist for Care Dimensions (formerly Hospice of the North Shore). For ten years she has led the organization's educational outreach programs, coordinating hundreds of programs for healthcare professionals, families and community groups.
